Way back in 2007, I got a job opportunity to work for a digital marketing agency. It was this year that I had very little knowledge of the Internet world, therefore struggled to design any successful Internet campaign for my clients. I use to take lot of tips from veterans in this field and someone suggested to read blogs on Internet marketing. "BLOGS" what is blogging was my reply?
This is when I started my first blog without any niche subject, thinking that I have made it. I felt like an author. Hehehe... People laughed at me and rightly so. For the first 2 year I blogged atleast 50 times without any significant readers. But what got me going was the fact that there were some people who were interested in my writing & were visiting regularly. In 2009, I decided to take my blogging seriously and started build rules which I thought brought in traffic and regular reader for me.
I will not bore you by narrating the entire learning cycle of last 2 years but will break my learning into post that is easily understood by all.
Why Blogging?
People asks why do I blog when I have a good job at a senior level with a reputed company in India. Well! there are several reasons:
1. It's has now become my hobby
2. It helps me to stay abreast with technological advancement, let's say like a search engines etc
3. Being acknowledged by people for good piece of writing gives me a kick. Who doesn't want that ;)
4. Helping people to make a successful blog is in itself a very big kick
5. It's Intellectual
5. Last but not the least, extra money by just spending few hours in the day... :)
